Tori Talks // Moments

I believe we should welcome endings. Often there’s more beauty in endings than we realized. Nothing lasts forever and if we are not willing to see the beauty in losing something we do not deserve to have it in the first place.
Like the moment the sun goes down. Right before the sky goes dark and the sun still lights the horizon. And every light in the city turns on and there’s one sliver of sunshine among a million little dots of light and the people who were watching the sunset go back to their evening activity’s and the world is silent for a moment, just a moment before the sun finally gives up and the sky goes black.
Or the car ride after a concert. You can still feel the beat in your bones and everyone else is pouting because the experience is over but on that car ride home you are replaying every single moment. From the way the stage was lit, to the feeling of your feet hitting the ground as you jump to the beat of the music. You’re still there. And when it’s finally over, when your head hits the pillow and you can’t feel the beat anymore, you smile because an experience like that is never really over.
We should welcome endings. We should fall in love with every single moment, from beginning to end. We should allow every single fleeting moment to take our breath away. Because we deserve it.
Be brave, be courageous, be fearless and welcome endings.

xx,
T
