FOTD // Running Late Makeup

We’ve all been there. One second you’re in a world of Chanel, fancy hors d’oeuvres and brunching with Serena and Blair and then suddenly the sound of your alarm reminds you that you do not live on the Upper East Side and you’re late, like really late. Now a year ago when I was attending community college I would have rolled out of bed and gone to school but since moving to a city where pretty much everyone looks perfect all the time and in my attempt to be a real life adult (emphasis on attempt) my running late makeup routine has gotten a little more extensive but it’s still super easy! Hope y’all enjoy!

First thing, concealer is your best friend. Skip foundation, it takes waaay to much time. I apply my concealer under my eyes to cover my dark circles and any blemishes I might have and blend it all in with my finger. I then set it all with powder that has a little more coverage than a translucent powder to even out my skin tone.

I’m a total bronzer girl so I choose to contour pretty much every morning but you can totally skip it if you want! I also apply my Maybelline Highlighting Blush in Nude because it’s like a two in one product and I don’t have to fish around my drawers for a blush and highlighter so I just sweep that from the apples of my cheeks up to my temples and it gives off the prettiest glow!

For my eyes I sweep on the bronzer that I used for my contour all over my lids and up into my crease. I like to do this step because it makes your makeup look more put together than if you skipped it. I add a quick wing (if you’re new to wing liner skip this step) and then I apply around three coats of mascara to my top and bottom lashes.

DON’T SKIP THE BROWS. This is the most important part of my routine. Brows can totally change the way you look so I never ever skip them. I just fill them in with their natural shape so it’s quick and easy!

And voila! You’re ready to go in five minutes top and you look like you spent fifteen minutes in front of your mirror. So next time the Netflix vortex sucks you in till four in the morning, no one will ever know!
